Social Programs Facilitator

Full-Time | In Person | Starting at $55,000 per year

The Social Programs Facilitator leads dynamic, inclusive social experiences that foster friendship, confidence, and independence. This role is ideal for someone who is both a strong leader and a hands-on mentor—someone who thrives in building programs while also building people.

What You’ll Do
  • Design and lead engaging social programs for children and adults with special needs
  • Recruit, train, and supervise volunteers to ensure meaningful engagement
  • Support mentorship, Business Ambassador, and vocational initiatives
  • Build partnerships with local businesses to expand job training and mentorship opportunities
  • Serve as a job coach, working directly with students to develop workplace skills and confidence
  • Promote programs through community outreach and social media
What We’re Looking For
  • Bachelor’s degree preferred
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience working with individuals with special needs
  • Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills
  • Passion for inclusion and community engagement

The schedule includes three Sundays and two Thursday evenings per month.

 

Career Coach / Special Education Teaching Assistant

Full-Time | In Person | $35,000–$40,000 per year | 

The Career Coach / Special Education Teaching Assistant plays a vital role in supporting students both inside the classroom and as they take their first steps into the workforce. This position is perfect for someone compassionate, patient, and excited to help individuals grow academically, socially, and professionally.

What You’ll Do
  • Support classroom instruction and provide one-on-one or small group assistance
  • Help supervise and guide students during educational and program activities
  • Accompany students to job interviews and employment sites
  • Support students in learning and maintaining workplace responsibilities
  • Assist in cultivating relationships with local businesses for internship and employment opportunities
  • Help create a nurturing, inclusive learning environment

The Executive Program Coordinator is a central leadership role within Friendship Circle, ensuring operational excellence across programs, communications, and events. This individual serves as the bridge between leadership, staff, families, volunteers, and community partners.

This position is ideal for a highly organized, proactive professional who thrives in a fast-paced, mission-driven environment.

  • Oversee daily program coordination and operations
  • Manage communications across multiple platforms
  • Support the Life Skills & Job Training Program
  • Coordinate volunteers and event logistics
  • Maintain administrative systems, including reporting, payroll coordination, calendars, and SOPs
  • Ensure consistent organization and follow-through across all programs.

Full-Time | In Person | $55,000

Position Overview

The Office Administrator supports the essential behind-the-scenes operations that keep the organization running smoothly. This role is ideal for someone highly organized, proactive, and comfortable managing multiple administrative responsibilities with care and efficiency.


What You’ll Do
  • Manage email correspondence and administrative follow-ups
  • Prepare and coordinate mailings, including donor acknowledgments
  • Maintain accurate records, files, and contact databases
  • Assist with scheduling and overall office organization
  • Support general administrative needs and run local errands as needed

What We’re Looking For
  • Strong organizational and communication skills
  • Proficiency with Google Workspace and/or Microsoft Office
  • Dependable, proactive, and able to work independently

Life Skills & Job Training Program Manager

Full-Time | In Person | $60,000–$65,000/year

The Life Skills & Job Training Program Manager oversees and leads a structured, community-based program for young adults and adults with special needs, focused on independence, job readiness, and daily living skills. This role serves as the primary leader of the program—responsible for ensuring high-quality curriculum, strong staff support, meaningful participant growth, and consistent communication with families.

What You’ll Do
  • Oversee the full operation of the Life Skills & Job Training Program (2 classes)

  • Supervise and support a team of 4 teachers, along with facilitators and volunteers

  • Develop, implement, and continuously refine curriculum aligned with life skills, vocational training, and social development

  • Manage participant intake, assessments, and individualized progress tracking

  • Maintain ongoing communication with families, providing updates and support

  • Oversee scheduling, staffing, and daily program flow to ensure consistency and quality

  • Ensure all programming meets a high standard of structure, engagement, and care

  • Support and expand job training, internship, and mentorship opportunities

  • Create a positive, safe, and growth-oriented environment for all participants

  • Collaborate with leadership on program improvements and long-term development

What We’re Looking For
  • Strong background in Special Education (required)

  • Bachelor’s degree required (Master’s in Special Education or related field strongly preferred)

  • Minimum 3–5 years of experience working with young adults with special needs

  • Experience developing or implementing curriculum and individualized supports

  • Proven ability to supervise staff and manage a multi-faceted program

  • Strong organizational, communication, and leadership skills
